The FUNK-ZITIELLO FOUNDATION was launched in 2016 and kicking off Champions for Hope campaign to help others in our community.
Champions for Hope is all about serving those who are dealing with extraordinary obstacles. Any one of us has the opportunity every day to be a champion for someone in need. We are asking you to become a champion for two tremendous causes very dear to our hearts: the JT Townsend Foundation and pancreas cancer research. To understand why these two missions are so important, here is our story.

Curtis Dvorak “The Cat”
Former Jacksonville Jaguars mascot, Jaxson Deville, past Good Morning Jacksonville correspondent and host of WTLV’s First Coast Living.
Dvorak is known for his years of high-risk stunts but now highlights his love for the First Coast in a way only he can.
His unique style of humor and creative risks have brought a refreshing take to the morning news brand.Townsend and Zitiello family friends, Curtis features local businesses, entertainment acts, and celebrity guests on ‘First Coast Living’, the original lifestyle show in the market, only on NBC 12.
Clearly a huge Jaguars supporter, Dvorak also loves the Beaches, is an avid golfer, and spends his free time playing all kinds of sports and seeking out any new adventure.
SPONSOR thiS AMAZING CaUSe
“It Was Epic.”
This years event was once again held at the beautiful TPC Clubhouse and TPC Stadium Course. To our Eagle level sponsor SWISHER, our returning sponsors, our celebrity guests and passionate emcee Curtis Dvorak, the JTTF Board of Directors, our food and beverage vendors, volunteers and the staff at TPC Sawgrass…thank you just isn’t enough.
We were able to raise over $600K for our two causes, PC research at Mayo Clinic for early detection and adaptive equipment and financial assistance for the North Florida disabled.
The electricity in the room at the gala and the excitement on the golf course was indescribable.
The JT Townsend Foundation (JTTF) was established in 2008 with a mission to help children and adults living with disabilities on the First Coast with financial assistance and adaptive equipment often denied by insurance and to fund spinal cord injury research.
While JT was with us, he would instruct his sisters how to assemble the equipment and they would drive him to deliver each piece. He loved to spend time with the recipients and their families. The families felt inspired them and hopefully every time JT visited them.
